From time to time, we get to a point in our relationships when we need to raise an idea. Perhaps it is a complaint, perhaps a suggestion for change, maybe even a proposal of sorts. Even when we predict a positive response, the anticipation of such conversations can be stressful. I like to outline my idea ahead of time and then feel ready when an opening presents itself. This way, I feel that I included all relevant information and I can wait for the moment and refrain from forcing the conversation. How do you approach important conversations with loved ones?
